A Black Professional receives a promotion and travels to a new environment, where he experiences situations so heinous, abrasive, and overtly unethical that he is empowered to report the concerns to the highest supervisor in his profession, but after doing so, nothing changes for the better. Instead, an interesting downward spiral of events occur, and he is forced to tolerate; retaliation, discrimination, and social isolation for making decisions that illustrated his moral compass was calibrated “true north” all along.
Based on true events, this heart wrenching story depicts a real paradigm that an educated Black Professional faced, when refusing to allow his integrity to “Stoop” to the level of those around him. While colleagues utilized social leveraging, nepotism, and political associations to obtain and retain power, he relied on his faith in God, his intuition, and his leadership skills to overcome one of the most unjust situations in the field of education.
